關係代名詞：具有連接詞及代名詞兩種功用（簡稱關代），主格關代who代表人； which代表事物、動物、地方；that 以上皆可。

合併為: The girl is riding a tricycle and she is my sister.
關係子句The
girl who (that) is
riding a tricycle is my sister.
(who代替先行詞The girl，是關係子句who
is riding a tricycle is my sister的主詞) 那個正在騎三輪車的女孩是我的妹妹。
b. Keelung is an old city. Keelung is famous for its tasty food in the

關係子句:
Keelung is an old city, which is famous for its tasty food in the
night market. 基隆市是個以夜市美食聞名的古老城市。
(which代替先行詞Keelung，是關係子句的which is famous for its tasty food in the night market的主詞)

I live in Keelung.
關係子句:Keelung is the city which I live in. 基隆是我居住的城市。
也可將介係詞放在where之前寫成Keelung is the city in which I live.
(注意這裡which代替先行詞Keelung，which不是關係子句的主詞，主詞是 I。)
當關係子句中另有主詞，且出現介係詞+關代時，就可以使用關係副詞， 所以上述 c.關係子句 in which 可用代替地點的關係副詞where來替換，寫成Keelung is the city where
I live.
