奇異恩典Amazing grace這首讚美詩是英國詩人及牧師約翰·牛頓John Newton(1725-1807)所填寫的歌詞，創作於1779，內容為約翰•牛頓的個人經歷，詩歌傳達上帝愛的救贖與饒恕，讓在絕望中的人們得到安慰與盼望，是世界上最著名具基督教特色的聖詩之一。此曲於60年代在美國流行歌曲界重新流行起來，由於歌詞信息廣泛適用於個人內心的渴望，讓它成了世人喜愛的歌曲。

感嘆句(exclamatory sentence):

浩瀚的宇宙隱藏著令人驚奇的奧秘，從天空的星體運行到地上的生態系統，處處充滿著規律，單就人體的運作而言，就是一個複雜與精密設計-----大腦能思考、神經能傳達、眼睛能看見、耳朵能聽到、….還有各個器官各司其職，相互配合，維繫著每日的氣息，生命本身就是個奇蹟。而當我們更深刻地激賞自身內在的律動時，我們就會發現生命充滿恩典與驚奇。當看到或聽到美妙動人的事物時，英文常會用感嘆句來表達，如: How sweet the sound! 多麼甘甜的聲音啊! ； What a beautiful girl! 好美麗的女孩喔! …，這些句子都是以How 或 What 為首，但卻和疑問詞無關，解釋成”多麽”的意思，並以驚嘆號 “ ! ” 做結尾，文法稱這類的句型為感嘆句。由於What和How的詞性不同，用法也不相同，what 是形容詞，所以後面接名詞；而 how 是副詞，後面接形容詞或副詞，不能直接加名詞。句型如下：

1.What + (a) + adj. + N + (S + V) +!

例: What a lovely dog (it is)! 多麼可愛的一隻狗啊!

2. How + adj./adv. + (S + V) +!

例: a. How tall the boy ( is)! 這男孩是多麼高啊!

b. How beautifully she swims! 她游泳游得真美啊!

上述 (主詞S +動詞 V(描述) )為可省略用法，不能用問句的語序，而是要用直述句的寫法：(X) What a lovely dog is it! 錯誤(問句語序)

(O) What a lovely dog it is!

(X) How tall is the boy! 錯誤(問句語序)

(O) How tall the boy is!

奇異恩典 Amazing grace 及你真偉大 How Great Thou Art 被稱為是現代最知名的二首聖詩，前者祥和莊重，後者蕩氣迴腸。祥和莊重的Amazing Grace在許多莊嚴隆重的場合及流行音樂中，我們都能聽到，是人們表達懺悔，感恩，贖罪及重生的經典歌曲。蕩氣迴腸的How Great Thou Art (瑞典民謠 1886)則是作者看到宇宙運行的秩序，感於上帝偉大的創造及奇妙的救贖恩典，發出由衷的敬畏與讚嘆。歌手貓王Elvis Presley ( 1935-1977）在1967年灌錄How Great Thou Art福音詩歌專輯，並以這首詩歌兩度獲得萊美獎。
