Lord
Of The Dance 是一首歴史悠久的愛爾蘭民謠，除了被採用為踢踏舞表演的音樂元素之外，在基督教會中，是流傳已久的詩歌。
此曲在1774年時被帶入美國，詩人Sydney Carter (1915-2004）於1963年將歌詞重新編寫，成為敬拜詩歌，內容富含福音的精隨。
有別於傳統詩歌的莊嚴肅穆，它的曲調輕快、動聽，融入舞蹈後，成了一種敬拜讚美的表達方式，特別受到孩童和青少年的喜愛。

芭蕾舞源自義大利，發展於法國宮廷，卻在俄羅斯發揚光大，成為該國的國粹，俄羅斯女孩從小幾乎都受過芭蕾舞的薰陶。正統的芭蕾訓練外在能塑造優雅體型，內在可以強化音樂韻律，讓人舉手投足都充滿迷人的風采，這股風潮吹向列國，如今學習芭蕾舞在世界各地已經是很普遍現象。

在一次趕赴拳擊班的過程中，Billy 偶遇另一個教室裡正在進行的芭蕾舞教學，從此開啟了他對舞蹈的夢想。之後，他以熱情和勇氣打破階級、性別的藩籬，成功地說服了老師、家人和整個小鎮支持他學習芭蕾，而他也不負眾望，考上英國皇家芭蕾舞蹈學院，最終站上大舞台，以男性的風采主演了經典名劇 ”天鵝湖”。

| Folk Dance |
在台灣，我們所跳的土風舞大多來自美國。自從1940年紐約世界博覽會開啟了跳土風舞的熱潮後，美國的土風舞社團也開始盛行，他們有的自創舞步，有的則是收集、研究各國傳統的舞法律動，並結合當地鄉土民謠，編輯成老少咸宜的團體舞，這些舞曲在第二次世界大戰時，隨著美軍的腳步流傳到世界各地，也來到了台灣，如本部落格曾經介紹過的: 美國民謠---“ You are my
sunshine你是我的陽光”(請按此連結)、 加拿大民謠--- ”紅河谷 Red River
Valley”(請按此連結)、以色列民謠---”水舞Mayim-Mayim”(請按此連結)…等都是著名的土風舞音樂。
以下再介紹一首在台灣也很遍及的土風舞曲，旋律我們耳熟能詳，卻鮮少人知道歌名，它的歌詞全是音階唱名 "Do, Re, Mi,
Fa,S ol, La, Ti" 所組成，所以歌名就叫” Solfeggio” (音階唱名solfège，法語發音：[sɔl.fɛʒ])。
